About
Arizona Arms Association, Inc.
|
The Arizona Arms Association, Inc. has a proud
50 year history as the oldest
and largest Gun Collector's Organization in the State of
Arizona.
|
 |
In 1958, a group of individuals met to form the Arizona
Gun Collectors Association. After many years of growth, the group
incorporated in 1981 as the Arizona Arms Association, a non-profit,
NRA affiliated organization. The public has always been our primary
concern.
It is our desire to inform the public regarding:
Education
- As to the role Arms and Armament have had in our history.
Safety
- In the handling of all weapons, from edged to semi-automatic.
Information
- Regarding the old, the new and the "Art" found in
weapons.
We do not place emphasis on any particular type or
style of weapon, what you collect, shoot or simply enjoy. The
spectrum of items our members collect range from military badges
to armor; from old swords to exquisite handmade knives; and from
matchlock rifles to modern semi-automatics. Regardless of what
type of Arms you enjoy, you're sure to find a kindred spirit among
us. We try to be as innovative as necessary in these changing
times, yet not forget the basic premise on which we began our
organization, and to take a united stand in opposing legislation
which may be injurious to the collection, possession and use of
firearms by responsible collectors shooters and sportsmen.
The Arizona Arms Association, Inc. currently sponsors
9 shows a year throughout the State of Arizona in Tucson, Mesa,
Wickenburg and Flagstaff. All shows are open to the public. In
addition to trade tables, special display tables provide the public
with educational exhibits of various makes and models of weapons.
Some displays feature the evolution of a company's Arms from their
earliest models to the present day.
Members receive free admission to all our shows and
can rent tables at a reduced rate as an "exhibitor"
to sell their items. Educational displays are encouraged and the
Association provides a free table for this purpose. Monthly newsletters
contain information and dates of our upcoming shows, gun shows
through-out the State of Arizona as well as activities, important
legislative and membership news. Your membership also entitles
you to join us for dinner with other members and our Board of
Directors at specified general membership meetings (we generally
have 4 per year, 2 in Tucson and 2 in Mesa) and to vote on important
Club issues and elect Club Officers.
Our membership includes nationally recognized experts
in their particular fields and virtually any question regarding
Arms and Armament can be answered. If you have any interest in
Arms and Armament or related items and would like to enjoy the
fellowship of others who share the same interests, please consider
joining our organization. If you have any questions, please let
us hear from you.
